French-speaking Tax & Accounts Manager

Permanent, part-time (7 hours per week) – application for this role is closed

Are you fluent in French and English with a passion for helping individuals and SMEs with their tax affairs?

I specialise in cross border tax advice for individuals based in the UK and France, as well as for small-to-medium sized English-speaking businesses in France.

I am expanding the business both in the UK and France and I am looking for a proactive tax professional to join me. If you are ATT qualified, or have equivalent experience gained in the UK or France, I’d love to hear from you.

You will be responsible for kick-starting the UK and French tax returns process for clients, as well as general bookkeeping and accounting for clients and the practice. You will also provide support to me, including ad-hoc administrative tasks, as the business develops.

You may have only recently started your journey in tax, or have experience already. I can offer you the next step in a niche, but growing, area.

You will have a genuine interest in French/UK cross-border tax issues, thrive on working independently and be a confident self-starter in every aspect of your role. You will be able to quickly build and maintain good relationships with clients, along with having excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, to ensure the smooth and timely submission of tax returns to the UK and French authorities.

Ideally, you will also be AAT qualified or above, have experience using tax returns software, be keen to quickly learn new systems, such as FIDU-EXPERT, as well as contribute to the longer-term success of the business in France and the UK.

If this sounds like you, and you have the legal right to work in the UK, please apply here by 30 November 2021 with a CV and cover letter (application for this role is closed).

What you can expect:

Salary: Circa £22-£28 per hour (£40,000-£51,000 annual equivalent), dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role.

Salary includes equivalent of 6 days’ holiday.

7 hours a week with flexibility on times worked in the week, hours expected to increase as the business grows.

On-the-job and formal training on cross-border tax matters.
